Integrated Curriculum

In GHIS we’ve always been looking forward to working together in partnership to give you and your child a solid foundation for the future. Hence, we are always seeking to provide high quality education and sustained investment to ensure that our students benefit from an education of the highest standard.

Integrated projects have been our flagship last year and has proved to be intellectually beneficial to all students. That’s why, we are continuing our success story this year too in an effort to instill the sense of blending what we teach at school with what students experience in the outside world.

What is integration?

Integration is to combine into a whole. Thus, when integrating projects, the emphasis is on a comprehensive understanding of a “whole,” rather than many unrelated “parts.”

Integration focuses on making connections for students, allowing them to engage in relevant, meaningful activities that can be connected to real life.

Why integration?

Integration is one of the most powerful strategies of education in the 21st century.

Creating an integrated curriculum means that teachers are charged with addressing curriculum expectations in a meaningful way where students are engaged and motivated throughout the lesson.

Young children’s learning is energized as they become part of a community of investigators and share the findings of their inquiry

Integrated projects give students the chance to apply the skills they learn in school to personally relevant and real-world situations. Your child also learns skills such as how to think critically, solve problems, work in teams, and make presentations. These skills will help students succeed in the future, both in school and in today’s work world.
