Green Heights International School was founded as an extension to Green Heights Language School which gained an outstanding reputation since its establishment in 1998 at the start of the new millennium.
In Green Heights International School, we believe the Early Years are the foundation years of the child’s development.
Our curriculum—in both the British and American divisions—emphasizes the development of physical, academic and social skills in a child-centered environment.
Through our program, children develop skills in many areas; English language, early years Math and cognitive abilities that are all carefully integrated. In addition, physical development is encouraged through P.E program as well as skills in creative art, music; computer keyboarding and ethics. Through themes and projects, teachers explore key learning areas in all core subjects alongside laying a moral and spiritual foundation.
The project approach is a strategy used by teachers to guide students through in depth studies of real world topics. Project themes include, for example, Under the Sea, Transport, The Rain Forest, Occupations and Countries of the world. Each trimester, different themes are introduced and studied/explored using a variety of media, resources, materials and project ideas. “
Offers an American curriculum following Virginia Standards of Learning. The core classes include Language Arts (reading, writing, speaking, listening and words study skills), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. We also offer students French as a second language starting from KG1. Our educational program is enriched further with classes of Information Technology, Art, Music, Drama and Physical Education. Arabic and Religion classes start KG1, and Arabic Social Studies starts in Grade 4.
The curriculum is enhanced by field trips into the local community. Trips at all grade levels focus on various aspects of our curriculum and take advantage of the diverse and rich cultural and historical opportunities present in Egypt.
Green Heights International School British Division aims to achieve high standards in teaching and learning in a well-structured environment based on mutual respect and consideration for others. The curriculum chosen is based upon the requirements of both Cambridge and the Ministry of Education for students aged five to eleven. Our school curriculum promotes pupils’ ethical, social and cultural development preparing them for future opportunities and responsibilities.
Cambridge provides a framework to develop Mathematics, English and Science proficiency and knowledge in young children. It also provides guidance for curriculum development, classroom teaching and learning while allowing teachers to assess the children’s learning as they progress to Lower Secondary.
IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is one of the most popular forms of secondary education recognised worldwide which offers flexibility of system and varieties of subjects options according to student’s interests, talents and ambitions.
