Online school plan after winter break
Dear Parents ,
Further to our email of last week, kindly be informed that our online education system for the coming period will be based on the following blended learning model: Sunday through Wednesday, live sessions on zoom. Links will be available on Classera. Thursday: recorded sessions uploaded on Classera. Daily class schedules will remain the same. For the following subjects only, sessions will be delivered through recorded videos: art, music, PE, ethics. All remaining sessions, unless delivered on Thursday, will be live sessions through zoom. Classera will be used for uploads. Moodle will be used for online quizzes and all grading purposes. With reference to the Minister of Education announcement of today, please be informed that effective the beginning of the second trimester - 5th January 2021 - and until further notice, all students are to remain at home receiving instruction online. With reference to the school reopening plan 2020/2021 and in order to provide  higher in-person instruction exposure to all students, kindly be informed that effective next Sunday 11/10/2020 school hours will be extended till 3:00 pm Sunday to Wednesday and till 1:00 pm on Thursday.

Procedures for Arrival and Dismissal, Breaks and Canteen

Priorities for the upcoming academic year:

  • Health and safety of all students, staff and our school community.
  • Academic, social, emotional, and physical development and well-being
  • To deliver an outstanding quality of education to all of our students.

ARRIVAL

  • If a student is not feeling well or symptomatic of any disease, parents are not to send the student to school and inform the school accordingly.
  • School day starts at 7:30am and ends at 1:30pm.
  • The bus matron is responsible for making sure that all students wear a mask/face shield on the bus.
  • Temperature checks will be taken at school gates.
  • Students are expected to be at school by 7:35am maximum in order to attend the morning line.
  • School gates will be closed at 8:15am.
  • Students will be gathered in different playgrounds according to their year group/grade as assigned by School Administration in order to follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Students with no masks/face shields shall not be granted access to the school campus/school bus. In the event a student’s mask gets damaged throughout the school day, masks will be available in the school for a fee of 10EGP.

DISMISSAL

  • Students will be gathered in different playgrounds according to their year group/grade as assigned by School Administration in order to follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Dismissal supervision teachers and matrons will be responsible for making sure that all gate students wear a mask/face shield and that they sanitize their hands while waiting in the dismissal area.
  • The bus matron is responsible for making sure that all students wear a mask/face shield on the bus.
  • Students leaving by car should be picked up no later than 1:50
  • The school will not permit students to leave the school by a different arrangement without a written note from parents.
  • Parents are expected to call three hours before dismissal time.
  • Last minute parent phone calls are not accepted.

Break Time Management:

  • Students will be distributed between all school courts to observe social distancing standards.
  • Students will have sports activities organized by the P.E. department during break times according to year group/grade using all school courts.
  • Students will be encouraged to wash their hands/use sanitizers frequently during break time.
  • Masks/face shields are encouraged during break times.
  • Break time supervision teachers and matrons will be responsible for making sure that all students sanitize their hands during break time.

Canteen Organization:

  • To decrease time, reduce exposure and ensure adherence to social distancing guidelines, two counters will provide service to students.
  • All canteen staff members shall wear masks and gloves at all times.
  • In order to avoid contamination, all food, sandwiches and eating utensils will be sealed and packaged individually.
